About the Schimels...

Chris and Shirley Schimel have served in full-time ministry for over 30 years since graduating from Mt. Vernon Bible College in 1973. Chris received his Master of Divinity degree from ORU in 1992. Together they have served as youth pastors, associate pastors and senior pastors in various areas around the country. They have had experience in many different settings and cultures where literally thousands have made decisions for Christ.

In 1994 Chris took his family to Boulder, Colorado where he and Shirley planted a church, mothered another, and served as pastors there until the spring of 2005. Currently, the Schimels live in Western New York where Chris devotes his time to teaching, writing and consulting and Shirley is a counselor. Both Chris and Shirley are ordained ministers. They have two grown sons, Jeff and Joel.
